Wells’s “ Invisible Man ” as a talkie was given a trade screening, Mr Wells said that, despite his effort to get away from the films, he had been brought back in self-defence. Sex must be excluded from fantastic films in order to secure their success. Mr Wells said that he would not allow any of his works to be filmed without his participation and supervision.
