Messrs F. R. Best and C. J. Ward arrived from Wellington this morning. Messrs A. F. Cade and F. Murfield (Auckland) are staying at the New City Hotel. Messrs D. Hobbs (Australia) and O. V. Rust (Ceylon) are staying at Warner’s Hotel. Messrs R. and 11. R. Climie (Christchurch) arc staying at the Clarendon Hotel. Messrs T. Marchettv (Halifax, England), R. V. Shimmin (Melbourne), K. G. Begg and J. Milne (Wellington) are staying at the United Service Hotel. Messrs D. Shone E. Worsp, J. D. Knowles (Dunedin) and W. F. Watters (Dunedin) are staying at the Hotel Federal. Sub-Inspector G. B. Edwards, of the Central Police Station, left Christchurch to-day for Greymouth to take up relieving duty. Messrs C. E. S. Gordon and V. J. 11. Tunbridge, masters at Geelong Grammar School, who are travelling with a jfartv of bovs from the school on a tour of the Dominion, are staying at the United Service Hotel. The Right Hon W. A. Watt, exPrime Minister of the Commonwealth of Australia, with the Hon J. A. Boyd, of Victoria, is on a motor tour of the Dominion and arrived in Christchurch this afternoon. Mr Watt is chairman of directors of British Dominions Films, L J 1 Sir John Sandeman Allen, who represents the Liverpool, West Derby, division in the House of Commons, is expected to arrive in New Zealand about the middle of this month in the course of a world tour. He is accompanied by Lady Allen.—Press Assn. Mr George Gore, ex-president of the New Zealand Lawn Tennis Association, and Mr H. M. Boddington, honorary secretary of the Wairarapa Association, will arrive in Christchurch tomorrow morning from the north to witness the semi-finals and finals of the national championships at Wilding Park.
