Successful Gathering in Domain. The Waikuku Beach Improvement Association’s annual gala was held at the Waikuku Beach Domain yesterday under ideal weather conditions. During the afternoon a programme of children’s and adults’ races was run off, the adults’ events resulting as follows: 75yds Women’s Waikuku Championship—Miss J. Martyn 1, Miss M. Grubb 100yds Single Men's Race—D. M’Lean 1, P. Cooper 2. 100yds Married Men’s Race—W. J. Jones 1, W. Steele 2. 75yds Married Women’s Race—Mrs F Tippet 1, Mrs R. Jackson 2. 75yds Single Women’s Race —Miss M. Grubb 1, Miss M. M’Kenzie 2. e-needle Race—F. Tippet 1, Sack Race—J. Thompson 1, M. Harper BABY SHOW. _ A baby show, judged by Dr L. M. King, proved popular and resulted as follows: Girls under twelve months—Faye BalUnger 1, Vivienne Read 2, Nancy Pethig Boys under twelve months—Mac Jamieson 1, Kelvin Parker 2, Robert Evans 3.
