Many Attractions. The following is a list of holiday attractions:— TO-DAY. Talking pictures at city theatres. The South Canterbury bowling tournament will be continued on Thursday. December 28 likewise the golf at Shirley. the croquet at United green and the tennis at Wilding Park. Friday will be the last day of the lawn tennis. The New Zealand lawn tennis championship meeting and Christmas tournament will begin at Wilding Park on Saturday. NEW YEAR'S DAY. JANUARY 1. Brabin Shield cricket match. Canterbury v. Wellington, at Lancaster Park. Lawn tennis at Wilding Park. Bowling tournaments at Linwood and Canterbury greens. Excursion to Timaru. Sports at Springfield. Timaru and Dunsandel. Canterbury Park Trotting Club’s meeting at Addington. Oreymouth Jockey Club’s meeting at Hokitika and Waiau Racing Club’s meeting. Rowing regatta at Akaroa. Pictures at city theatres. TUESDAY. JANUARY t. Brabin Shield cricket. Prebbleton sports and gala. Lawn tennis at Wilding Park. Bowling tournaments at Linwood and Canterbury # greens. Excursion to Otira. Second day of Canterbury Park Trotting Club’s meeting at Addington; second day of Greymouth Jockey Club’s meeting; Oamaru Jockey Club's meeting. Talking pictures at city theatres. WEDNESDAY. JANUARY 3. Geelong Grammar School cricket team plays Christ’s College at Christ’s College ground. Westland Trotting Club's meeting at Hokitika. Lawn tennis at Wilding Park. Talking pictures at city theatres.
