* Messrs Macfarlane and Co. report the following prices for eggs:—First grade, Hd to lljd a dozen; second grade, lOd to 10id; duck eggs, lid to Is. Red Comb Egg and Poultry Co. The Red Comb Egg and Poultry Co. report large entries at Saturday and Wednesday auction sales. Some good | lines of goslings and ducklings found l ready sale under the keenest of com- 1 petition. A feature of the egg market was the sudden drop in supplies, which resulted in the price rising Id per dozen with a very good demand. The average prices pet pair were:— Roasting chicken, (light) to ss, (medium) to 6s !)d. (heavy) to 11s 6d; ducks to 5s 6d; duckling, (light) to 7s 3d. (heavy) to 10s 9d; hens, (light) to Is .9d, (heavy) to 6s 6d: goslings to 11s; pullets, three months old to Ss 3d; turkeys Is 2d per lb. Egg—First grade (2oz and over) Is. second grade (under 2oz) lid per dozen.
