Rumours of Naval Unrest Denied. COMPLAINTS ABOUT FOOD. United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyrigh t. (Received December 9, 11.30 a.m.) CANBERRA, December 9. The Assistant Minister of Defence Mr Francis, denies the rumours of dis affection among the crews of the nev destroyer flotilla while it was voyag ing to Australia. The flotilla is novt at Darwin. It was alleged that the victualling had been defective and that the mei had been without meat, as a large quantity of beef had been jettisoned to prevent it from going bad in the intense heat. The ships leave for Brisbane to-day and probably will secure 'fish by using depth charges when they get to sea.
