the Liberty Theatre to-morrow. Will Rogers, probably the most popular American comedian, adds further to his laurels by his performance in “Doctor Hull,’’ a delightfully whimsical comedy-drama. The picture, which rivals the successful “ State Fair ” in its human appeal, has for a background the charming little New England village of New Winton. As doctor and philosopher Will Rogers gives one of the most likeable characterisations of his carter, his role giving full scope to the dry humour which has made him popular. Although behind the times in medical knowledge. Dr Bull possesses an abundance of eommonsense, but

some of the more discontented spirits in the little community, and one faction seeks to have him expelled in favour of I>r Verney. a modern young physician from a neighbouring village. Much of the criticism arises from his association with Janet Cardmaker, a widow upon whom the doctor has been calling for fifteen years. The closing scenes are surprising yet logical.
