MUST RETURN BOOKS.
Australian M.P.’s Warned by Speaker. CANBERRA, November -24. The difficulties of inducing members to return bocks which they borrow from the Parliamentary Library reached a climax to-day, when the Speaker announced in the House of Representatives that members who continued to offend would be prohibited from using the library. Some members were responsible for the absence of 57 books, said the Speaker (Mr Mackay), who is also chairman of the Library Committee). Mr Nelson (Labour N.T.) : Some members’ books have been outstanding for years.
