Bright Entertainment in “ College Humour.” “ r Cover the Waterfront," the superb newspaper drama starring Ben Lyon, the late Ernest Torrence and Claudette Colbert, will be shown finally to-morrow night at the Theatre Royal. The supporting items include a fashion display “College I-lumour." an elaborate musical comedy, in which the leading roles are taken by Bing Crosby. Richard Arlen, Mary Carlisle. Jack Oakie, George Burns and Gracie Allen, Lona Arnlro represent stage, screen and radio, will begin on Saturday at the Theatre Royal. The “Ox-Road Co-Eds.” a chorus of beautiful girls, provide the dancing sequences in this bright production. “ Learn to Croon.” “ Moonstruck ” and “The Old Ox Road.” the three principal song hits, were written by Sam Coslow and Arthur Johnston. Music and comrd v ar* distributed evenly throughout the story, and the ” Ox-Road Co-Eds" danc-e in and out of the action. “ College Humour” is a new style of musical comedy—a picture in which the music the comedy, the dances and the other characteristics of this type of entertainment are part of the plot, instead of being extra scenes thrown in at. random.
