Kicking at Cricket.
Dear Sir,—Would you kindly answer me the following, which happened in a junior cricket match last Saturday: The bowler bowls a ball well on the off side of the batsman. The batsman makes no attempt to play the ball, but deliberately kicks it with his boot, over point's head, runs, an 1 claims a leg bye. Can a bye be registered that way?_l am. etc., ADA MS. A leg by* should not be allowed under the circumstances. The umpire should rule it “ unfair play.”—Ed. Star.
