The approach of Christmas would be incomplete without Handel’s " Messiah.” and lovers of the immortal work may heal its favourite solos arid choruses hefoie the beginning of the ' "hristmas. holiday rush, thanks to the performance to be given by the Clirist- ' hurcli Harm- nic Society and assisting church choirs at the Oxford Terrace Baptist Church to-morrow and on Thursday. The soloists will he Miss Joyce Wilkinson, Miss Alice Vinsen. Messrs T. E. West and .1. L. Tennent, promise who may he relied upon to give a brilliant rendering of their respective parts. The chorus work, which contains perhaps the most inspiring and popular oho' uses in oratorio, will he in the hands of i •omhined choir of nearly two bundled voices, who have been trained to a high state of efficiency by Mr Victor C Peters.
