R.S.A. EXECUTIVE.

Dispute Over Choir is Considered. A dispute that has arisen between the R.S.A. Choir and the executive of the association was considered at a meeting of the executive last evening, when it was stated that the position had arisen as the result of wrong impressions, and endeavours are to be made to heal the breach. The Rev F. T. Head presided. The report of a’ meeting between the representatives of the executive and of the choir was presented. Mr \V. E. Leadley said he was very disappointed with the result of the conference. In consequence of criticism at that meeting, the leader of the choir, Mr V. C. Peters, had decided that he could do nothing further. The R.S.A. Choir was finished if the executive maintained its attitude. Other members spoke, stating that their remarks at the meeting were merely their personal opinions. It had not been expected that the choir would be self-supporting in a short time, following its formation, but there had been misunderstandings. It was regretted that a wrong impression might "have been given. On the motion of Mr E. W. Smith, it was decided to convey to Mr Peters the following resolution: “That this executive as a body views with regret the wrong atmosphere created relating to the choir, regarding an immediate financial return, and sincerely trusts that the choir will continue as an active body, attached to the association under the leadership of Mr Peters.”
