ANNUAL RECITAL.
Programme by Mrs S. H. Cox’s Pupils. The annual pupils’ recital was held by Mrs S. 11. Cox at her home, Matson’s Road, Papanui, on Saturday last. Ferns and floral decorations contributed to the tasteful arrangement of the music and supper rooms. I-I. Cox. Piano duets: “ Sleigh Be'ls ** and " Santa Lucia,” Margaret and Helen Moffat; "Rendezvous.” Geoffrey Madden and Mrs Cox; “ Hungarian Dance, No. 8 ” (Brahms), Mrs and Miss Cox; " Valse F.rilliante (Moskowski). Miss Dorizae and Mrs Cox. Songs: "Just a Tiny Heaven ” and "Goblins,” Miss L Baynes: "To a Wild Rose,” Miss M. Banks; "Courage,” Mrs J S. Temple: “Down Vauxhall Way” and “ Spring Comes Dancing,” Miss A. Pengelly; 'Slumber Song” (Wagner), and “Wings,” Miss A. Moore; "A Fight ing Chance” and “The Blind Ploughman.” Mr G. Williams: "Lead. Kindiv Light” (Finsuti) and "Crossing the Bar” (Behrend). Miss O. Bandy; "Love That’s True” (Handel), Mrs H. R. Abbott; “The Silver Ring” (Charninade), Mrs J. Radford: " The Enchanted Forest” (Montague Phillips) and "Night” (Ma Hinson). Miss J. Neilson; " Lc Vallon ” (Gounod) and "The Lark Now Leaves His Wat’ry Nest,” Mr H. R. Abbott: "The Flower Song” ("Faust") (Gounod) and "At the MidHour of Night” (Cowen). Mrs S. H. r ox. Songs, Italian: " Rimpianto ” (" Serenata ”') (Toselli) and " Musetta’s Valse Song” ("La Roheme”) (Puccini). Mrs Di Somma, Vocal duet. " Hold Thou My Hand ” Misses M. and J. Neilson. elocutionary items were rendered during the interval by Mrs J. S. Temple.
