TEACHERS’ REUNION.
Morning Tea Party Held for Retiring Members. The Canterbury Women Teachers’ Association concluded its year’s programme with a social gathering at Ballantyne’s tea rooms on Saturday morning. The guests of honour were the retiring teachers for the year. This function is held" annually in the form of a reunion and has a pleasing informality which rfi'akes it particularly enjoyable to the teachers. On Saturday there were about fifty members present. The tables were prettily decorated with sweet peas and pink and white daisies. Miss Alexander and Miss Pattrlck gave interesting talks on their travels abroad. Later Miss Wilson and Airs Quigley expressed thanks for the morning's entertainment. The guests of honour were Mesdames Quigley, Nieolson (Ashburton), Misses C. Pattrfck. N. Alexander, G. Wilson, J. Keir and D. Brown.
