BOXING.
Professional Middle-weight Championship. Per Press Association. GREYMOUTH, December 3. The middle-weight professional boxing championship was won by Harry Lister (Greymouth) in a fast, strenuous fifteen rounds with Vince Parker (Timaru). Both weighed list 6|lb. Lister secured a knock-out in the final round. The match was very even until then. Parker was the faster, but Lister was the more aggressive and harder hitter. A large house cheered the boxers repeatedly for their excellent showing. Preliminary amateur wrestling bouts resulted:—D. Williams (Blackball), list 41b, beat C. Bloomfield (Greymouth), list 21b: 11. Wilson (Kokiri), list 31b. drew with Omar (Cobden), 12st; H. Blanrhflelri (Greymouth), 1 Ost 71b. beat A. Fleming (Greymouth), lOst lllb.
