TX.F.S. Dispensary. The quarterly meeting which takes place this evening in Ridgely Hall at 7.30 will decide several matters of importance to the affiliated lodges. A large attendance of delegates is anticipated, and a general appeal is made to members to take advantage of the special purchasing powers of their own dispensary. A.O.X*. District official visits will take place at Court Pride of Courtenay on Tuesday, December 5, and at Court Star of Greendale, Greendale, on TuesdSay, December 12. No. 2 Grand Chapter of the Canterbury United District will hold its next meeting in the library of the Public Hall in Belfast on Tuesday, December V.A.O.D. Royal Arch Chapter, No. I—The conferring of degrees and the arrangements for the syllabus for the forthcoming year will be portion of the business at the meeting on December 12, In the Orange Hall. Lily of Richmond.—A.D. Brother Porter presided over the summoned meeting, when the election of officers resulted as follows: A.D., Brother Westwood; V.A., Brother Bradshaw; secretary, Brother Jackson; treasurer, Brother R. H. Parker; minute secretary, Brother Lake; V.A. Bards, Brothers Davies and Moody; 1.G., Brother Btirrows; 0.G., Brother Carrington; V.A., Bards, Brothers Falloon and Munro; auditor, Brother Lake; trustee. Brother Buist. P.A.D. Brother A. G. Lake was nominated for District President, No. 7 District. Brother Porter, Arch Druid, presented a scheme to assist unemployed members, which had been considered by the special committee set up for that purpose, and it was resolved to recommend the proposals to the Board of Management for its consideration. A hearty welcome was extended to the Grand Secretary, Brother F. E. Talbot. The social committee was invited to arrange a social function for December 20. It was decided to support the Druids’ dance proposed by the Royal Arch Chapter, X.O.G-.T. Lily of Sydenham.—The C.T., Sister E. Agar, presided, and a motion of sympathy was passed to the relatives of the late Brother G. W. Leadley (Ashburton). Sister J. Brayne asked members to keep the meeting place in good order. Sisters M. and L. Ford (Sumner Pride) were given a welcome to the Temple. Brother A. Rennie conveyed the greetings of *Rising Hope Temple (Ashburton) and stated that the anniversary banquet would take place on December 9. Sister Brayne returned thanks for birthday remembrances, and a pleasant hour was spent in games, etc. X.O.R. Philipson Tent.—Brother John Jackson, P.C.R., presided, in the absence of the C.R. (Brother Browne). Invitations were received from Lily of Sydenham (1.0.G.T.) to attend euchre party, and New Brighton Tent to a dance. Correspondence was received from Riccarton Tent regarding 19(454 dances, and St John Ambulance asking for collectors on appeal day. Reports were given by Brother Dunlop (Juvenile Tent), Brother Forsey (sick visits), Sister Dell (Juvenile initiation competition). Sister Marton (Provincial Council), Sister Dell and Brother Forsey (interprovincial initiation competitions). The report of the Medical and Hospital Board was given by Brother Forsey. Minor officers were installed by Sister Dell, with Brother Saunders officiating as installing levite. Pride of Christchurch Tent. —The Chief Ruler, Brother T. Nuttall, presided. Superintendent Brother J. Jackson reported that a good meeting was held at the Tawera Juvenile Tent. Brother G. Good reported fully on the Provincial Council’s last meeting. Congratulations were extended to the Star of New Brighton Tent on its success in winning the Bascand Initiation Cup. On behalf of the Tent, D.S.F.M. Sister G. Bunt welcomed P.S.F.M. Sister D. Hull, who was paying the Tent a visit. Sister Hull thanked the Tent for the welcome, and urged the members to try and bring those members who do not attend the

meetings. The members were reminded of the Juvenile Christmas party to be held in the Y.M.C.A. on December lb, and members were asked to help with the games and refreshments. It"was decided to forgo the tent meeting on December 19 and the Superintendents were granted permission to hold the juvenile Christmas party on that night. It was decided to forward the tent’s congratulations to the Juvenile Tent on its winning: the 4 Bunt Cup in the recent initiation ceremony competition. Brothers Robinson and Gifford reported on the meeting of the Provincial Council. The half-yearly election of officers was held. The following officers were installed by the retiring Chief Ruler (Sister M.
