BEST ROCK GARDEN.
The judging of rock gardens in the Canterbury Horticultural Society’s competition for the M. F. Barnett Challenge Cup has been concluded. Out of thirteen entries, Mr H. M’D. Vincent’s garden at “ Stonecrop,” Crichton Terrace, Cashmere, has been placed first, and that of Mrs F. Frazer, Iluntsbury Hill, second. The judges were Messrs M. J. Barnett, superintendent of cityreserves, and H. L. Darton, secretary of the Horticultural Society. Mr Barnett said this morning that there was little between the first two gardens.
