LINDBERGHS IN DENMARK
Survey of North Atlantic Route Completed. United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, August 26. Colonel and Mrs C. A. Lindbergh met a great reception on their arrival by air at Copenhagen (Denmark) from the Shetland Islands. They experienced difficulty in landing owing to the number of motor boats on the harbour. The police cleared a way to the town hall where they received a civic welcome. The Lindberghs’ survey of the Northern Atlantic is arousing attention. It is understood that first reports are favourable to the establishment of a regular summer service between America and Europe via Greenland, Iceland, the Faroes and the Shetlands, and thence to the neighbourhood of Copenhagen. Possibly later a winter service would be run via the Azores and Bermuda.
