WEEK-END ACCIDENTS.
Motor-cyclist Collides With Car. Mr H. E. Morris, a single man, who lives at 24 Bedford Street, Belfast, was admitted to the Christchurch Hospital oil Saturday night suffering from an injury to one of his legs. He had been riding a motor-cycle and collided with Child Injured. Knocked down by a cyclist yesterday, Aileen Hogg, nine years of age, who resides with her parents at 405 Selwyn Street, suffered a fracture of her right leg. She was admitted to the Christchurch Hospital. Cyclist in Hospital. James Arthur Williams, a married man, living at 13, Stevens Street, Linwood, was admitted to the Christchurch Hospital at 10.45 on Saturday evening with head injuries and a fractured right arm. He was riding his cycle when he was involved in a collision with a motor-car at the corner of Ollivier’s Road and Tuam Street. The driver of the car was Mr B. J. Muir, of 183, Ollivief’s Road. Mr Williams was unconscious for some time, but last evening his condition was reported to be satisfactory. Greymouth Collision. (Special to the “Star.”) GREYMOUTH, August 27. As the result of a collision on the Kaiata-Dobson road this afternoon between a motor-cycle which he was riding and a motor-car driven by Mr Thomas Murray, of Greymouth, Mr Hector Long, a married sawmill employee, of Nelson Creek, sustained a fracture of the left leg, and was admitted to the Grey River Hospital. Mr Long was on his way to visit his wife, who is a patient in the Grey River Hospital, when the collision occurred.
