Fatality in Hills Near Oamaru. Per Press Association. OAMARU, August 24. Ross frawshaw, twenty-one years of age. a son of Mr Frank Crawshaw, exMayor of Oamaru. met his death under tragic circumstances yesterday. In company with E. Swinard and L. Faid, Crawshaw was engaged in shooting shags six miles beyond Dr Gow’s property at Tapui. Later he was found dead, with severe injuries to his head, lying below a cliff 200 feet high. A large boulder was beside the body; apparently it had been loosened by recent rains and had fallen from the top of the cliff on to the unfortunate young man. Crawshaw was a prominent Oamaru swimmer.
