Gold Hoarding Extensive in France. LONDON, August 26. Sovereigns fetched 30s BJd in London 3'esterday, the highest price since Britain went off the gold standard. The city editor of the “ Sunday Express ” says that the cause of the rise in gold is the immense gold hoarding movement in France, where the people have lost confidence in all forms of paper obligations. One of the great • French industrialists is understood to hold about £8,000,000 in a London bank.
