I.R.A. Raiders Smash Bottles in Dublin Hotels. BRITISH BEER PROSCRIBED. United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. (Received August 28, 11.30 a.m.) LONDON, August 28. Groups of armed men, declaring they were members of the Republican Army, simultaneously raided twenty public houses in various parts of Dublin City, jumped the counters, produced hammers and smashed ever>’ bottle of Bass ale on the premises. The proprietor of one well-known hotel says that the raiders destroyed twenty dozen bottles and told him that the Republican Army had decreed a boycott of Bass and “ won’t allow a bottle to be seen in Dublin.”
