The establishment of the Royal Commission to inquire into the operations of the Banfe Act in Canada was completed to-day, with j Lord Macmillan, the British jurist, as chairman. The other members are: Sir Charles Addis, the English banker and economist; Sir Thomas White, war time Minister of Finance; Mr Brownlee, Premier of Albeita, Mr Beaudry Leman, general manager of the Banque Canadienne National. RE-RECOGNITION SOUGHT. WELLINGTON, August 1. The Post and Telegraph Employees’ Association in conferring today with the Postmaster-General (the Hon Adam Hamilton) is requesting re-recognition by the dels some prospect of an agreement being reached.
