Bridesmaids’ Frocks in Shades of Orange. LETH AM—MEE KING. St Andrew’s Church. Ashburton, was decorated with lemon and bronze chrysanthemums and greenery for the wedding of Ena. elder daughter of Mr and Mrs E. C. Meeking. Ashburton, to Roland Forrest, eldest son of the late Mr Roland Letham and of Mrs Letham. Lauriston. The Rev W. Marshall officiated, and Miss L. Watt was the organist. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a frock of magnolia crinkle satin, made with a fitting bodice cut on diagonal lines, and long, tight sleeves forming points over the hands. Her embroidered veil, worn off the face, was arranged with a spray of orange blossom at the nape of the neck, and her shower bouquet was of cream hothouse flowers. Miss Joan Meeking, a sister of the bride, and Miss Belle Muir head were the bridesmaids. Miss Meeking’s frock of pale orange crepe romaine was made with a fitting bodice and flared skirt finished with a loosely-tied belt at the waistline. Her shoulder cape was of matching shade, and her hat was of felt to tone. She carried a posy of bronze chrysanthemums. Miss Muirhead’s frock of deep orange was made on similar lines, and her hat was of felt to match. She also carried bronze chrysanthemums. Mr D. Petrie was best man, and Mr J. Lilley was groomsman. The guests were afterwards entertained at Lewitt’s reception rooms, where Mrs Meeking received the guests wearing a frock of navy crinkle crepe, relieved with fawn, a marmot coat, and a navy felt hatr. The bridegroom’s mother wore a black frock, a black faced-cloth coat trimmed with fur, and a black felt hat relieved with red. For travelling, the bride wore a nigger brown suit, a fox fur, and a brown hat to match. She carried a brown diagonal cloth coat trimmed with marmot. CAMPBELL—JURY. The wedding took place recently at the Church of the Ascension, Waikari, of Alice, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs R. Jury, Loburn, late of Waikari, and Stanley Ferguson, son of Mr and Mrs R. Campbell, Scargill. The Rev H. M. Cocks, vicar of Waikari, officiated. The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr R. Jury, jun., wore a pretty frock of Lido blue afghalaine in a diagonal weave, trimmed with metal buttons and a matching felt hat. Her sister, Miss Phyllis Jury, as bridesmaid, wore a smart frock of tangerine afghalaine with touches of black, and a felt hat to tone. Mr R. Campbell, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. A reception for intimate friends and relatives was afterwards held at the home of Mr E. Luxton, a friend of the bridegroom. Mrs Jury received the guests wearing a smart black ensemble relieved with w’hite, and a hat to tone. The bridegroom’s mother wore a blue ensemble with touches of tangerine. REID—CORMACK. The wedding was celebrated recently at St Andrew’s Church, Christchurch, the Rev J. Lawson Robinson officiating, of Dorothy Jean, younger daughter of Mr G. Cormack and the late Mrs Cormack, of Christchurch, and late of Methven, and Eugene Thomas Rowland, elder son of Mr and Mrs Hector Reid, Methven. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a nigger brown model frock with a hat to match. Mrs C. Cormack, Christchurch, who was matron of honour, wore a frock of grey silk lace with a musquash fur coat and hat to match. Mr G. L. Washington, of Temuka, was best man. The reception was held at the residence of Mrs Cormack, the bride’s grandmother. When Mr and Mrs Reid left by car for their wedding tour, the bride was wearing a black tailored costume, a small hat with eye veil, and a musquash fur coat.
