No Civil Disobedience for Six Weeks. United Press Assn.—By Electrio Telegraph—Copyright, (Received May 10, 11.30 a.m.) CALCUTTA, May 9. The Congress now announces the extension of the suspension of civil disobedience from one month to six weeks, but despite Mr Gandhi’s appeal the Government of India states that the situation is unaltered, and unless the Congress fulfils in an unqualified manner the conditions previously laid down, the release of the political prisoners will not be entertained.
