Dispute at Waikato Mines Settled. Per Press Association. HAMILTON, May IX). The Waikato mines resumed to-day following the ratification vesterday by the miners of the terms of settlement agreed to at a conference between representatives of the mining companies and the miners. The dispute at the mines arose on April 18, when the Renown Company posted a notice proposing to postpone ckie to the men during the continuance of the coal price “ war. ’ It has been agreed that the Renown Company will withdraw the notice so that the mines will be open for work under the present agreement.
