J. MILLARD WINS.

Hard Game in Dobson Cup Final. EASTER GOLF TOURNAMENT Thfe concluding stages of the Easter • golf tournament at Shirley were fav- ; oured with fine weather. It was generally thought that J. Millard had the Dobson Cup in safel keeping, but he had a very hard game | with L. A. Dcugall in the semi-final and j he had the same experience against M. H. Godby in the final. After being 2 down at the fifteenth Millard recovered to win by the small margin of 1 up. Godby played a very steady game in the early part of the match, but he slipped in the closing stages ar.d let Millard in. The stroke handicap resulted ir. a tie between R. Pearson and L. Harris, the former winning the play-off. Russley players who have beer, much in evidence through the tournament again were seen to advantage in the fcur-ball bogey, when two Russley men. in R. B. Dagger and D S. Anderson, took the event with the excellent score of 11 up. for which Dagger’s 73 was largely responsible. Following arc- results:— Dobson Cup. Semi-final. .T. Millard heat L. A.
