METHVEN LAWN TENNIS.

A pleasant social afternoon was spent at the Methven Tennis Club’s courts on Wednesday, when opportunity was taken to farewell Miss Irene Dalton, who leaves Methven shortly to take up a position in Wellington. Many pleasant games of tennis were played and a competition was won by Miss Nell Ross. At the afternoon tea interval Miss Molly Dart, on behalf of club members and friends, presented Miss Dalton with a travelling case as a reminder of many pleasant hours on the Methven courts. Miss Dalton suitably responded.
