PORT OF LYTTELTON. Little Activity on the Waterfront. There was little shipping at Lyttelton this morning. The Foxton, which arrived late last night, was engaged in loading for Foxton, and the Waikouaiti was completing her unloading of coal from Newcastle. The only other vessels in the harbour were the Tees, which was loading for Wellington, and the Chathams and the Calm undergoing overhauling. The Wingatui. is due to load for Auckland this afternoon. The Canterbury Steamship Company’s steamer Calm, which has been tied up at Lyttelton for' several months, is being recommissioned. She will go into dock to-morrow for cleaning and painting, and is expected to make her departure from Lyttelton at the end of the month. GALE is expected to-morrow from the north. She should leave for Dunedin to-morrow afternoon. STORM, due l\ere on Friday from southern ports, is expected to load for Wellington and Wanganui. FOXTON arrived this morning from the north to load for Foxton, for which port she is expected to sail this evening. ALEXANDER, expected here on Friday from Wellington, is to load for Nelson, Mapua, Motueka, Westport and Greymouth. HOLMGLEN is now expected to load here on Friday for Wellington, Wanganui, New Plymouth and Waikato. PAKURA is scheduled to load here for Waikokopu, Tolaga Bay, Tokomaru Bay and Hick’s Bay on Friday. WAINUI, from Melbourne, via southern ports is expected to arrive here on Wednesday to discharge Australian cargo and transhipments. She will be dispatched for Wellington and Bluff the OPIHI ’should return here to-morrow from Timaru to load for Wellington, Nelson and New Plymouth. POOLTA will call at Lyttelton on March 2 to load for Napier and Gisborne.
