Miss Rae Price, Avonside, is spending a holiday at Lynden Downs, Waiau. Miss Fiona Reilly, Christchurch, has returned from a visit to Leithfield. Mrs T. Wood and family, Little River, are visiting relatives in Timaru. Mr and Mrs Townbridge, Wellington, are staying at the New City Hotel. Mr and Mrs M. Scherek, Dunedin, are staying at the United Service Hotel. Airs G. M’Gregor and Miss E. M’Gregor, Christchurch, are visiting Auckland. Mrs C. -H. Withers and daughter, Little River, are visiting friends at T imaru. Lieutenant-Colonel and Mrs E. Turton, London, are staying at the United Service Hotel. Mrs D. Stott (Christchurch), and Miss De La Hunt (Christchurch), are the guests of Mrs Stott, Poranui. Miss H. Montgomery, “ Wairewa,” Little River, is the guest of Mrs John Montgomery, “ Braelangwell,” Eiffelton. Airs H. Alullaby and family, Greymouth, are the guests of Mrs W. Stanbury, Puaha, Little River. Aliss Beryl Weston, Addington, is the guest of Airs J. Chapman, Puaha, Little River. Aliss Kathleen Henley, Lincoln, is the guest of Aliss Alargaret Keenan, Little River. Airs Walsh, Christchurch, is visiting her daughter, Mrs J. Keenan, Little River. Air and Airs C. White-Parsons, who have been staying at Sumner, have returned to Invercargill. Airs W. B. Dixon, Bluff, with two of her children, is spending a fortnight’s holiday in Christchurch. Airs Harold Goggin,-Fendalton, is the guest of Airs David Al’Naughton, Wellington. Airs Bryan Todd is staying with her mother, Airs David Buddo, Heaton Street. . Miss Ngaio Marsh, Cashmere Hills, will leave to-morrow to stay with Miss Phyllis Sharpe, Woodbury. Aliss Martha Alyers, Wellington, is staying with her sister-in-law, Mrs Haloid Alyers, Christchurch. Aliss Viola Macmillan Brown, “Holmbank, ’ Cashmere Hills, will leave tomorrow to visit friends .in Geraldine. Airs J. A. Af’Pherson has arrived from Invercargill to take up residence in Christchurch. Air and Mrs F. G. O’Beirne have returned to Invercargill after spending a holiday at Akaroa. Air and Mrs A. R. Dunlop, Invercargill, are spending a holiday at Akaroa. Aliss Nutsey, lady superintendent of the Auckland Hospital, is paying a short visit to Christchurch. Aliss Alunro and Aliss Purnell, who have been the guests of Airs R. A. Grigg, Singletree,” Alford Forest, have returned to Christchurch. Air and Airs Geoffrey Kingscote, Fendalton, who have been visiting Airs J. N. Grigg at Longbeach, have left to be the guests of Airs J. Afontgomery, “Braelangwell,” Eiffelton. Airs Clive K. Phillips, of Christchurch, who has recently returned from a tour abroad, is at present visiting her aunt and uncle, Air and Airs H. F. Aleikle, the Alayor and Alayoress of Devonport, Auckland. Mr and Airs G. Oakleigh Greenwood, Christchurch, will visit Wellington for the races and bloodstock sales this week. It is Airs Greenwood’s intention to join the ranks of women owners in New Zealand. Lady Burdett, who has spent the past three years in Great Britain and on the Continent, accompanied by her daughter, Miss Betty Burdett, was a passenger by the Oronsay, which arrived in Sydney recently. Among the interesting visitors to the Dominion at present is Aliss Grant Macdonald, a Canadian, who is spending a few months in New Zealand in he course of a leisurely tour of the world. Aliss Macdonald has already spent some time in the smaller islands of the Pacific. She is a graduate of l oronto University, and until recently was on the staff of the Bishop otj-achan School at Toronto. Miss Macdonald has seen much of the North island, and is proceeding to the South island. She is much interested in the natural beauties of New Zealand. She made a visit to the bird sanctuary at Kapiti at Christmas time.
