Aliss Viola Macmillan Brown, “Holmbank, ’ Cashmere Hills, will leave tomorrow to visit friends .in Geraldine. Airs J. A. Af’Pherson has arrived from Invercargill to take up residence in Christchurch. Aliss Nutsey, lady superintendent of the Auckland Hospital, is paying a short visit to Christchurch. Aliss Alunro and Aliss Purnell, who have been the guests of Airs R. A. Phillips, of Christchurch, who has recently returned from a tour abroad, is at present visiting her aunt and uncle, Air and Airs H. F. Aleikle, the Alayor and Alayoress of Devonport, Auckland. Mr and Airs G. Oakleigh Greenwood, Christchurch, will visit Wellington for the races and bloodstock sales this week. It is Airs Greenwood’s intention to join the ranks of women owners in New Zealand. Among the interesting visitors to the Dominion at present is Aliss Grant Macdonald, a Canadian, who is spending a few months in New Zealand in he course of a leisurely tour of the world. Aliss Macdonald has already spent some time in the smaller islands of the Pacific. She is a graduate of l oronto University, and until recently was on the staff of the Bishop otj-achan School at Toronto. Miss Macdonald has seen much of the North island, and is proceeding to the South island. She is much interested in the natural beauties of New Zealand. She made a visit to the bird sanctuary at Kapiti at Christmas time.
