RAILWAY NOTICK. -<K TROTTING MEETING AT TIMARU. SATURDAY, JANUARY 21. TRAIN ARRANGEMENTS. CHRISTCHURCH TIMARU: Special passenger train, stopping at Addington, Sockburn, Hornby, Templeton, Rolleston, Dunsandel, Rakaia, Ashbur. ton, Hinds, Orari and Temuka to pick up passengers for Timaru Racecourse, leaves Christchurch 85 am., Rolleeton 8.35 am., Rakaia 9.15 a.m., Ashburton 9.50 am., and arrives Timaru Racecourse at 11.12 am. Passenger* from Chertsey will travel by the usual 9.9 a.m. train and join special train at Ashburton. A return train stopping at Washdyke to pick up, and at above station* and Chertsey, to set down passengers, leaves Timaru 6.25 p.m., and arrive* Christchurch 9.47 pm. The 8.35 am. Christchurch-Invercar-gill express train will stop, if required, at Washdyke to set down, passengers, and will connect with special train to Racecourse. Special train for racehorses and passengers travelling with them, leaves Christchurch at 6.40 a.m. and arrives Racecourse 10.30 am. Return train leaves Racecourse 6.40 p.m. If the races be postponed the special trains will NOT run. TIMARU-ASHBURTON: Afternoon train for Ashburton leaves Timaru 655 p.m., and arrives Ashburton 756 pm. It connects at Washdyke with special train leaving Racecourse for Timaru at 5.45 p.m. FARES : Special fares to Timaru Racecourse by the 8.3 am. special train from Christchurch on January 21, available for return from Timaru up to January 23, also available Racecourse to Timaru on day of issue by special trains between Timaru and Racecourse, will be issued at the following rates: — From Christchurch, 20s lid first class, 14s 9d second class; Addington, 20s 9d and 14s 7d; Sockburn, 20s 2d and 14s 3d; Hombv. 19s 9d and 13s lid; Templeton, 19s 2d and 13s 7d; Rolleston, 18s 3d and 12s lid; Dunsandel, 16s 2d and 11s 6d: Rakaia, 14s and 10s Id; Chertsey, 13s Id and 9s sd; Ashburton, 11s and Bs.
