FORMER TEACHER DEAD
Mr J. R. Wilson Was Headmaster at Lyttelton. The death occurred last evening of Mr J. R. Wilson, recently headmaster of the Lyttelton District High School. Mr Wilson was born at Riverton, and received his education at the Otautau and Riverton schools. He was on the staff of the Somerfield school when that school was first opened. Subsequently he was assistant master at the Timaru main school, and later transferred to Fairlie as headmaster, where he remained for seven years prior to being appointed headmaster of the Lyttelton District Hgh School seven years ago. Mr Wilson resigned his position at Lyttelton about five months ago, owing to ill-health. He is survived by his widow and a son and daughter.
