Canvasser Committed for Sentence. Per Press Association. GREYMOUTH, December 22. William Alfred Sandman, aged thirtyt >ev*n, was committed for sentence this morning on the theft of £398 13s 3d, the property of the Australasian Temperance and General Mutual Life Sq?iety, by whom he was employed as a canvasser and also on a charge of : raudulentlv altering a bank lodgment slip from £2 Is 5d to £52 10s sd. Bail was allowed, the accused to report to the police weekly.
