Woman Succeeds in Court Claim. LOSS OF HUSBAND. Per Press Association. NAPIER, November 2. As a sequel to a fatal accident on the Napier-Hastings Road on June 20 last, Clara Jane Smyth brought a claim against Arthur John Haslam in the Supreme Court yesterday for £4OOO general damages and £33 11s 9d special damages for the loss of her husband. The jury found in favour of 'plaintiff, awarding £2OOO damages.
