BANKRUPT ACTRESS,
Says She Entertained too Much. LONDON, October 23. Miss Diana Wilson, the actress, when examined in the Bankruptcy. Court, admitted liabilities of £2686 and assets amounting to £56. She said that she earned £SO a week when in Australia, but saved no money because she thought her income would always continue. She attributed her failure to lack of regular engagements since 1926, and t.o entertaining beyond her means in the last three years, when she spent £625 on entertaining. Sometimes she entertained twice a week and sometimes once a month. A first night party usually cost £4O, because the guests always drank a lot. Miss Wilson appeared in Australia several years ago with Lawrence Grossmith in “ Ambrose Applejohn’s Adventure ” and other plays. She recently appeared in the London production of “Dr P3 r gmalion,” by Harrison Owen, the Australian journalist and plavwright.
