CHILD’S GARDEN COMPETITION.
Qualified Gardeners Will Assist You. W E WILL AGAIN CONDUCT our own garden competition, and children are advised now so they may have every chance of entering a good exhibit. 1 have a list of expert gardeners from every suburb in Christchurch ready to help you in any problem. You will need to begin at once, and if you wish the name of a specially qualified person in your own district from whom to seek advice, Aunt Hilda will post it on application. Gardens will be judged in February, and may be either vegetable or flower, or a combination of both, which would be really better. Any question as to planting, etc., will be answered by yotlr gardening ffiend in your bwn district. It is a lovely hobby, healthful and cheap, and a never-fajling source of delight to yourself and everyone else. Get busy, “Star ” gardeners. Gladioli bulbs need to be planted immediately, also sweet pea seeds. From time to time we will keep you advised what to do for your little plot.
