TAXI-DRIVER IN COURT
Sequel to Wellington Fatality. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, August 1. In connection with Saturday night’s accident when William Edwards, of Eastbourne, received fatal injuries through being knocked down by a motor car in Whitmore Street, Paul Olsen Sabo, a taxi-driver, aged fortyone, appeared before Mr W. H. Woodward, S.M., to-day. Senior-Sergeant Scott applied for a remand until August 9, saying there was a possibility of a more serious charge than that of being intoxicated while in charge of a motor-car being made against accused. The remand was not opposed. Bail was granted in accused’s own bond of £IOO, and one surety of £IOO or two of £SO each
