“ Letters of Fire ” and “ Age For Love.” Incorporating two of the latest American film releases, the new programme at the Theatre Royal provides a firstclass entertainment. “ The Age tor
Love” is the first attraction. It presents a theme of love and modern marriage, telling of a girl’s choice of a career in preference to a home. It is an adaptation of the novel by Howard Hughes, and is screened with much of the glamour for which that writer is noted. The picture signalises the return to the screen of Billie Dove after a year’s vacation, and as the star she is responsible for a performance that reveals her as an actress of much dramatic talent. The star is supported by a strong past of screen favourites. “ Letters of Fire ” is the second attraction. It is a melodrama of American tabloid journalism, telling of the unscrupulous methods of the proprietor of a scandal sheet to boom his circulation The programme is completed by another of the Bobby Jones series, “ How I Play Golf.”
