After a week of indifferent weather, Lyttelton residents appreciated the fine conditions experienced yesterday and on Sunday. With ideal conditions in the harbour a number of watersiders who could not find work spent the day fishing, but apart from good catches of whiting there was little other fish hooked. A small party visited Mount Herbert yesterday morning in search of winter Sport and were well rewarded for a long climb, as the snow was still in good order for tobogganing and skiing.
