A DRAWN GAME.

Christ’s College Play Otago Boys’ High School. ANNUAL MATCH. (Special to the “Star.”) DUNEDIN, August 2. Christ’s College and Otago Boys’ High School, in their annual Rugby match at Carisbrook yesterday, played a draw, each side scoring six points. In the first spell Ormond kicked a great goal for College and Martin scored for School, dribbling across after a short passing bout. In the second half College took the load when a series of scrums on the line ended in Orbell forcing his way over. This stirred Otago to make a stern offensive and their persistence was rewarded when Oeorgeson goaled from a free kick. There was no further score, but, following mulling by the Otago backs, the College forwards broke through and their backs tossed the ball about freely, striving hard but unsuccessfully to score. It was a bright and interesting game. College had much the heavier pack, outweighing Otago by over a stone a man; but, though the College commanded the bigger share of the ball from the scrums, the School pack put up a great fight, showing heaps of dash in the loose, breaking through time and again and backing up in first class style. Kelleher Shield. The first annual match for the Kelleher Shield was played during the week-end between representatives of the Cathedral and the St Mary's Lawn Tennis Clubs. The game ended in favour of the former with the score of 13-10. For the winners tries were scored by J. O’Malley (2) and G. Brittenden. A. Malcolm and G. Brittenden converted one try each. For the losers B. Bradley scored, F. O’Brien kicked a penalty goal and R. Dunne kicked a field goal. Mr P. Kelleher presented the trophy to Mr J. C. Dobbs, the captain of the winning team. College Match. This morning, the first fifteen of St Andrew's College left by the express for their annual match in Dunedin against the John M’Glashan College. Mr M.
