Usual Dividends Maintained.
It is reported in the “ Advertiser’s Weekly ” that: —Company reports are rarely light reading—even when no complaint can be made about the dividend. But Bovril. Ltd., have to live up to the reputation given them by their advertising department: so Lord Luke’s speech at the annual meeting was full of humour and anecdote, as well as information.
“ The advertising all over the world has cost us about the same,” lte said, “ and, at any rate at Home, seems to have been as effective as usual in keeping up our sales, in spite of conditions that cannot quite be called normal.”
