AORANGI HITS WHARF.

Considerable Damage Done at Suva. United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. (Received July 1. 1.30 p.m.) SUVA, July 1. The Aorangi arrived from Auckland to-day. When approaching King's V harf the ebb tide caught the bow of the ship and she crashed into the wharf at an angle of 60 degrees. The wooden decking and beams of the wharf were smashed for a depth of 30 feet. The ship was undamaged, but the damage to the wharf is estimated at a minimum of £.500. The Aorangi sails at three o’clock this afternoon for Vancouver. The Australian and New ZealancL Ottawa delegation, who were were entertained at luncheon by the Governor. Left Baby in Australia. Mrs Elliott, the young wife of Phar Lap’s jockey is travelling by the Aorangi to join her husband in the United States.
