RAILWAY REVENUE.
Decline in Expenditure and Receipts. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, June 30. Railway figures for the four-weekly period ended May 28 and for the financial year to date, as gazetted to-night show the following position:
During the period revenue declined by £63,325, and expenditure by £65,613. thus increasing the net revenue by £2288 when compared with the figures of last year.
Four-weekly 1932: period ended May 28, May 1932 May 1931 Revenue £ £ 556,424 Expenditure .... 406,184 471,950 Net revenue £78,832 £84,474 Revenue dropped £71.408 and expenditure £65. <66, so that the net revenue fell by £5642.
