Hockey Team Wins Senior Competition. The Trinity team have been declared the winners of the Canterbury Hockey Association’s senior competition. At the end of the second round, the club was four points ahead of the next team, and in such a strong position that the competition has been clcsed and a new series is to commence tomorrow. The success of this young team is pleasing to its supporters. It has put up a great record in its ten matches, with points, twenty-eight goals for and four against. High School Dance. It has been decided to hold the Lyttelton District High School dance during the third week in July. Diamond Harbour Golf Club. The Diamond Harbour Golf Club’s programme for Sunday next is amended as follows: The men will play the second round for the colts’ trophy; women members will play an L.G.U. medal match. The first round for Mrs Colin Cook’s trophy will be played in conjunction with the L.G.U. match. Parish Dance Postponed. The parish dance, which was to have been held at St Saviour’s schoolroom this evening, has been postponed.
