Why He is Not in Trentham Weights. (Special to the “ Star.”) AUCKLAND, June 30. Croupier was entered for the first and third days of the Wellington Racing Club’s winter meeting, but his name did not appear among the handicaps for th e first day published yesterday. Croupier has always raced in the colours of Mr J. J. Corry, of Blenheim, and is registered with the Racing Conference in his name. The Supreme Court recently held that Croupier was the property of Messrs John and James Paterson, of Auckland, and in consequence an alteration has to be made in the registration with the Conference. Matters in this connection have not yet been completed. Hence Croupier was not handicapped.
