POULTRY SHOW.

Strong Competition at Rangiora. INTERESTING DISPLAYS. Although slightly fewer than last year, the exhibits at the North Canterbury Poultry, Pigeon and Canary Club’s annual show, which opened at Rangiora to-day, showed no signs of falling off in quality. As usual the utility poultry section received most support and it was here that competition was the strongest. In the women’s section the entries were slightly less numerous than at the last show, but the quality of the needlework in particular was fully maintained. A pleasing feature was the strong support given to the girls’ cookery classes. An interesting display of pupils’ handiwork and products of the school farm was made by the Rangiora High School. Following is the list of awards: poultry. (Judge: Mr T. Kennedy). Geese.—Gander. any variety (1) Bobbie Cox 1. Goose, any variety (1) —Bobbie Cox 1. Ducks.—lndian Runner, drake (4)—11. A.
