COMING-OF-AGE PARTY.

Herb Moore’s Cabaret, Greymovth on Wednesday evening was the scene of a jolly party of young folk who assembled to celebrate the coming-of-age of Miss Doris Turtill. The host and hostess, Mr and Mrs T. J. Turtill, received the guests. Mrs Turtill wore a smart black marocain frock. Miss Doris . Turtill wore a dainty frock of ivory satin with a small coatee to match. Supper was served, Mr C. Neville proposing the toast of Miss Turtill, Mr C. Kennedy responding. The toast of the host and hostess was proposed by Mr T. Martyn. Mr Turtill presented his daughter with the customary key. Between the dances a pianoforte solo was given by Miss Lesley Marshall, and little Zita Austin gave character dances. A tap dance was given by Miss Mavis Burgoyne.
