Sumner Club Elects New Officers. The annual meeting: of the Sumner Bowling Club was held last evening, Mr It. C. S. Jamieson presiding over a good attendance of members. The election of officers resulted as follows:—Patron, Mr Geo. Humphreys; president, Mr T. H. Undrill; vice-presi-dent, Mr E. W. Webb; auditor, Mr A. Pullan; treasurer, Mr A. Mathews; secretary, Mr J. A. Clarke; committee, Messrs J. F. Menzies, H. C. S. Jamieson, T. Newburgh, H. H. Barlow, C. V. Forrest, H. W. Heslop and A. E. Young: centre representative, Mr G. W. C. Smithson; selectors and Match Committee, Messrs H. H. Barlow, J. F. Menzies and F. J. Edwards; House Committee, twelve were elected: Mid-week Games Committee, Messrs A. Mathews and T. 11. Undrill. Mr T. Newburgh moved that congratulations be sent to the Canterbury Club which had attained its jubilee year. ,r.'SMS n S meeting of the Sumner Bowling Club respectfully suggests that the time is opportune for the incoming president to discontinue the practice of providing liquid refreshments, other than tea, coffee or soft drinks, on the opening day The retiring president, Mr H. C. S. Jamieson, was accorded a special vote of thanks for his work during the year. Barrington Club. The annual meeting of the Barrington Bowling Club was held on Monday evening. There was a large audience of members. The following officers were elected:— Patron, Mr H. C. Lane: president, Mr .T. E. Smith: vice-president. Mr R. A. Chivers; treasurer, Mr W. Campbell; secretary, Mr Chivers (pro tern): committee, Messrs G. Billcliffe, A. C. Truman, F. R. Cotton, E. J. Cooke, A. Clark, N. Carey, C. Carter; greenkeeper, Mr J. Webster; assistant greenkeeper, Mr W. O. Allan; match committee. Messrs Truman, Cooke and Billeliff; mid-week games selector and delegate, Mr Truman; social, Mr J. Patterson (Saturday), Mr Allen (mid-week); delegate to Christchurch Bowling Centre, Mr S. D. Robinson.
