“ Inquirer ” asks for the name of the gas that comes from bread dough through the action of yeast—carbon dioxide, otherwise carbonic acid gas.
To tlio Editor. Dear Sir, —So now we know, we have at long last the definite information. “ Materialist,” in a line, sizes the whole thing up: “ A world that is only a dream in the minds of a credulous few’.” And any affirmations to the contrary by whomsoever made (those even of 2000 years since) are therefore hereby demolished.—l am. etc., LOGICALLY SQUASHED.
