GOLDEN WEDDING.

The friends and relatives of Mr and Mrs C. A. Eldridge met in the Hastings Street Hall, to welcome them on attaining their fiftieth year of marriage. The arrangements were carried out by Miss Lila Eldridge and Messrs T. Burgess and A. Smith. The tables were tastefully decorated with gold chrysanthemums. Two bouquets were presented to Mrs Eldridge by Mrs Quigley and Mr C. Belworthy. Mr and Mrs Eldridge were the recipients of many beautiful gifts. Teddy Jones’s orchestra supplied the music, and extras -were played by Mrs C. Poison, Miss L. Eldridge and Mr B. Bradford. Items were given by Mrs R. Broadbelt, Misses Lottie Colville, Mollie Brook, Tui and Anna Eldridge, and Messrs T. Cummings and C. Belworthy. A Monte Carlo was won by Misses Johnston and a lucky spot by Miss E. Ward and Mr N.
